Hi everyone and glad to be a part of this community. Our new vehicle has a 216 engine. It runs very cold right now and needs starter fluid to get going. We plan on giving it a tuneup shortly, replace plugs/wires/points/condenser, and timing.

Any hints from folx out there on getting this old beauty running smoothly?

Thank you in advance..

Lisa

Welcome to the Stovebolt riverdance9. I see your from Ca. so you join a lot of bolters from your area. Watch for them.

The Carryall sounds like a fun project and there are several here on the bolt that have them. There is even a Panel/Suburban forum.

Be sure to ask your questions in the forum best suited for you problem for the best results. Example, engine questions in the Engine Forum, paint and body in the Paint Body Forum. Not everyone who drops in come here through the welcome centre but goes straight to the garage forums. Guys here can sure help you get that 216 purring like a kitten. Lots of knowledge here.

Good luck, post us up a picture when you can.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
