We're were right down to the wire ... but Peggy and I are not going to be able to be with you this year.

Don, Mongo, Mike, Pat/Mike, Leo, Scott et al are doing a great job setting up things for this year so please carry on and help them out this year. It is disappointing for us but it will be fun to hear all about it as you go through the weekend -- be sure to keep us all up to date!

Hey Tom & Danny, we're usually at the far side of the field from where you enter. Look for the stovebolt canopy.

Great, Tom and Danny!
Just ask the show people as you drive in, they will point you in the right direction.
There is plenty to see and do at the show and the burnout contest is a favorite for a lot of us.
Also bring a couple lawn chairs to sit and visit for a while.

Yea, we are so sorry ... and about the long delay. We kept debating if John could go, but I dare not turn him loose.

I have been having a problem with my right arm and shoulder all summer. First it was one thing; and then another. I still can't get my arm around John's neck (for him to lift me into the truck) but my strength is slowly coming back. I haven't been much help around the house, farm or even the website. I couldn't do the mouse for a while. My maximum typing time was about five minutes. I felt like I had carpal ARM. UG

Other than thaaaaat ... but when you need BOTH arms like I do, it is a bit of a show stopper.

You may no know, but last year I had a broken leg when I was at the show!! The doc said it would be okay for me to go and it didn't bother me. Leg is still broken and will be going to Johns Hopkins this fall to see what they need to stabilize it. I feel a bit like Woody (Toy Story). When John picks me up, my legs go this way and that. But my right arm, I pull that in and guard it.

Worry not for me tho. I will be fine. I come from good stubborn stock.

Peggy

As wrenchbender stated you will both will be greatly missed. My wife and I will miss getting to talk to you guys. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

We are planning on being there on Saturday. If everything comes together juust right we will be bringing our truck to the event. It aint much but its a good old retired workhorse that some might be interested in seeing. I will be interested in comments and ideas from the great minds that will be there. And if it doesn't work out for the truck we will be there anyway to enjoy the show and company.

I believe I am a go for Kc... As long as the RR doesn't change that for me. I look forward to a good time and meeting some new people. Be safe all!

Sorry we aren't going to make it this year. Bummer! I'll miss all of you. Please take and post lots of pictures. I'd order a shirt but looks like I'm to late, but if not Peg, if you have a XL left I'll buy one. If not don't worry about it. Send me a PM if you end up with one and we'll work out payment. Thanks!

Thanks all. It doesn't seem like September since we are not in the throws of things getting read for KC. Last year we drove out and took a whole week, which was fun. John wanted to drive again this year, that's why it was so last minute to decide weather I would be well enough to go.

Peggy is the duct tape that holds this rickshaw together, the straight-jacket that keeps the inmates from running the asylum, the drill sergeant who keeps her Marine from fowling his mess-kit,..... Get well soon!

John,
You need to take a picture of you and Peggy, send it in an e-mail and someone can copy and we will post it at our sign-in table! We are leaving home in a couple of hours, will bring a couple extra lawn chairs and an extra cooler. I have tape, scissors, inkpens, a couple of door prizes, t-shirt list, paper to write on or make signs. Anything else we need let me know! Peggy & John have my cell phone #.

Sounds like I won't have time to notice you and Peg not there.

Great Pat!
Vicki and I should be there about 1pm Friday.
We'll have markers, name tags and a bunch of door prizes.

What we do need, is someone to take a lot of pictures and know how to post them.

Don

Pat -- I'd do that but I don't want Joe and Mike Taylor drawing a mustache and missing teeth on my picture (overtop of my mustache and missing teeth ...)

Pat -- Do you have a roll of tickets (the kind we use every year for the giveaways/raffle)? Don was asking me and the Stovebolt roll of raffle tickets is right here ... frown

Don -- the hardest part is the group picture ... Good luck with THAT eeeek

Yes, I was just getting ready to post. I do have a partial roll of raffle tickets if you need for the door prizes. It has enough for what we need. Have a box to put them in also.
We would keep the markers from the budding artists!
Car is loaded, just about ready to leave (later than we wanted, as usual), need anything else, you got about 10 minutes but you can always send me text on my phone or call me. Don't know if I will have internet connection on the road!
