today's work was to try to remove the clutch/brake pivot shaft. There was no way that I was getting that nut off with brute strength. My bad heart will not let me strain that hard. Went to Autozone and bought a nut splitter, which worked fine for only $13 and no strain.

Now the shaft needs to come out and I'm not taking the fender off to beat on it! I start making room for it to come out buy taking my machinist hand shaft and a small round bur to grind out some space between the shaft and frame. Wiped myself working by 10 AM so will get back on it tomorrow. Will probably have to add weld to the enlarged hole or make a completely new shaft to fit.

Did you know that she shaft is bolted to a bracket that can be removed? Although the master cylinder also connects to that bracket I believe

Not easy to get to the bolts but I got them out before noon. Now to turn a new shaft.
