This is my "comfort fix tip" http://s982.photobucket.com/user/JOHNHILL_photos/library/Truck%20Dash%20benchSomeone may have done this before but it is my idea and it works great. I used a 4' piece of 3/4" plywood that I had and lay it between the floor of the truck and my shop stool with a block of wood on it to bring it up to same height as truck floor. I place a moving pad on the board and climb in. Something for a pillow would help if you are going to spend some time under there. John

A piece of 12" shelving and a horse of the right height and it made working under the dash a whole bunch more comfortable, almost took a nap on it when I was finished: http://www.pbase.com/dennygraham/image/160203521 Was thinking that next time I might take a sheet of plywood and cut a wider one that fits the whole width of the door opening. I was about to complain about fiddling with the headlight switch wiring last night--- without a seat installed...
