I'm new to the forum and to old Chevys and bought a beautiful, Corvette blue '58 1-ton that's been mostly restored, up to and including a built 1985 350 and Turbo 400. It currently lacks a bed and I've got some box steel and 4-quarter oak laying around so I'm going to build one. I'm also looking into disc brakes for the front end and seatbelts. I'm looking forward to gaining some knowledge here, so thanks in advance!!

The best place on the web for old Chevy and GMC lovers. I've wanted a 1 ton for a long time but never had the chance, or to many other projects.
There are quite a few bolters in N.C. from Shelby to Greenboro, Winston, Raleigh and quite a few other towns. Watch for them.
I'm in Boiling Springs just across from Spartanburg. Back a few years ago I worked in Shelby (13years) and in Winston and Greenville N.C. for 3 or 4 years. What Part of N.C. are you in?
We have a "gathering" around here once in a while. If you get down my way, or close to the Shelby/Charlotte area let me know. We could meet up for a hot dog and a cold Pepsi.
