Hi all, I'm in need of both exterior door handles for my 38 pickup. The only vendor that shows them in their catalog (The Filling Station) tells me the car and truck handles are different and they don't carry the truck handles. Does anyone know if other year trucks will work on the 38, or if the passenger car ones will work, or know where I might find them.
Thanks, Don

Hello Don
I believe the door handles are the same for 36-38 chevy truck. I do not know where you can purchase them.

Don't get your hopes up 38chev but I think I have at least one door handle left from a donor truck if a 37 will work.....if I can only finds them. Things packed up tight while I've built my shop. Maybe I can dig around this weekend.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Thanks Rusty and Chipmunk. I put an ad in the parts wanted section but haven't heard from anyone yet. It seems that on some years the handles were held in by a pin or bolt, others, like mine, are tapped on the end and held in place with a shouldered bolt. I don't know if the handles are straight or curved, but they must be tapped on the end. I'm sure other years would work if I could find some. Thanks for your help, Don
