It has self adj., so no hole, so can I jack up the rear, start the truck, put in reverse and just start hitting the brake to adj? Find a big parking lot, wally world?, or a nice country road or down at the end of your street. Just my opinion.
...are you sure about no holes? As far as I can remember the self adjusters I've seen have holes. Are your plugged an your just missing the holes? It won't go anywhere, but you should here the adjuster click every time you try to turn it. When it quits clicking, you are done.

If they are aftermarket drums, probably not. I think they stopped having a slot in the backing plate in the late 60's depending on the vehicle.

Click them up till the drum goes on with very little play or drag. Some drums & some backing plates have a knock out slot to adjust or back off the shoes.
