I don't know how long the deal will last but it lists for $349.99 and if you sign up for deal notification on Eastwood's site you should eventually get a popup with the sale price of $199.00. I got the popup when on yahoo.com
It's not a professional grade (20% duty cycle I believe) but will work out great for body work and general welding around the house and shop and it's a great price for a starter MIG welding kit. Gas & bottle is not included but it does include a regulator and hose connections.

Even though I don't understand what Duty Cycle really means, I can tell you that it's a great welder and does everything I need for sheet metal. That is a very good deal on the Eastwood MIG. Congratulations! You should have a great time welding with it for years to come.

According to the Miller website, the Duty Cycle is how many minutes of continuous use a welder can operate out of 10 minutes. They give an example of a 60% duty cycle saying it could operate at the full 300 Amps continuously for 6 minutes and then would require the remaining 4 minutes to cool down. The 60% would be the 6 minutes out of 10.
So for me at least, the 20% duty cycle will be fine. Most of my 20G sheet metal gets tacked at wire speed 4 and E on the Amps (A through J). At least I understand it a little more than I did. | | |
