Hello All,

Is there anyway to authenticate that a 58/59 truck was built at the factory with a fleetside bed?

Was the drivers side peep mirror included on fleetside trucks with the in-bed spare tire carrier?

There is a trim code in the color bulletin no31 page 5 - J or K for two tone paints. Is there any other?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Builder, not checking a particular truck just a general question.

That raises another question, what vin code would tell you if it was a fleetside?

I checked 3A-3L none came back as a fleetside.

there is no VIN indication for fleet vs step, just the 31 and 32 difference ... the 'peep mirror' was an extra cost option

thnx Tim, distraction while the paint dries grin

I should add that the only indicator of difference fleet/step is in the model number, 3104 [3204 & 3604] for the step as previous years, 3134 [3234 & 3634] for the fleet, but I don't think you'd find that anyplace unless you have an original invoice or it shows on a title
