does anyone know where i can find the tutorial on converting from 2pc window to 1pc? i could have sworn somebody had posted a pretty decent pictorial/ tutorial on the conversion, but for the life of me i cant find it. not in the tech tips, or the regular forums.

my brains a little scrambled at the moment, any help greatly appreciated.

My brains scrambled most of the time... so I use that Bay Area thing the "euro's" like to take to court all the time and I saw lots of talk from way back and tubby pictures too, showin how it's done.

Wow just took my 'meds' so I'm better now.
Google it and check old archives.
Google it and shop
You Tube it and watch, was what I was trying to say.

But I ask you Why? You don't dig cool breezes when your driving?

.....if your not in a hurry shop around. Over the years it appears to me that most would find doors with windows like they want than the cost and hassle of the change over. Surely someone out there has a set worth buying or someone wanting to go the opposite way. Post in the Swap meet and see what happens. Lots of customizing going on in Ca. so you may just get lucky.

well its not much of a time savings for me as i've already installed power windows. i'll need to adjust the setup a bit, but the motor is mounted, wires run, etc. dont wanna have to pull it all out and start over again. so im actually avoiding door swap.

my big problem is that the windows leak in the rain, which gets the power window controls wet. so im assuming no vent window will make it easier to seal. and at 75-80mph on freeway the vent window is useless, so its just the look i'm losing as it really has no useful functionality anymore.

i've got a 51 burb im going to likely do this to as well, i'm using the truck as a bit of a testing ground. which is why im trying to find the writeup. still no luck.

try this
first then there was this and you'll apparently want some of these (bottom of pg)?

Those are a few I just gobiducked...
I remember reading someone saying the regulator has to be cocked to a 15* angle or something like that and for sure have your own templates made and glass cut as the corners are quite different from original ones..

I'd rob a junk yard for spare window track and build my own surround using the vent channel bar as the front channel.
I don't think it's going to cure your water problem though, unless you find some rubber to use instead of fuzzies on the bottom.
There are plenty of other cars that have how to's and utubes and the technique is pretty much the same even on a studebaker.
