There is mention of the two tone color combinations, does this refer to the cab and box one color and the fenders the other color? Or is this just referring to the upper part of the cab versus the lower

There were 12 colors available in 1950 as Options 234-235 with corresponding body stripes. Two-tone combinations or special colors were available only as special zone orders. Since there was no tag defining this color really anything goes now days, no one can say it didn't come that way as there is no way of knowing unless your truck has the original dealer order.

Where did you find two-tone color combinations "mentioned"?

I just did a search for '1950 chev truck color code' and several sites came up with color codes for different years

thanks Brad for your info, looks like from the factory they were mostly one color unless its a special order. Well like I read here someone where when someone said about paint 'its your dime, do what you want' cheers
