It will seem like it will never fit but it does if you leave it all loose. Or so it will seem. Its hard enough to reinstall an old grille which came on the truck. An area which can cause a challenge on a reproduction grille is a mismatch in contour at the top corners. Carl

I assembled inter fenders, fenders, gravel pan and radiator support before attempting to install the grill. Is that the correct sequence?

When installing any of the front end parts (including grille), you need to loosen most of the adjoining parts. This front clip must be adjusted as a unit. It is very difficult to just slap in one of these components and have it go right in.
