Hy guys, well June is here so that means it's Pick a Nick time again. Once again I can't find out the date for the Village Classic car show in Chilliwack, I can find last years date proudly declared, fat lot of good that does me. Anyway I assume Fathers Day the 21st will not be eligible, so that leaves us with the 7th, 14th, and the 28th (my guess is the 28th will be the Village Classic). So what say you folks, which dates work for you???

I would love to come out and meet some fellow BC bolters if your open to someone new to the scene dropping in. My Truck should be on the road after fathers day, that said I have a pipe dream of having it completed and inspected by then... (long shot). I work out of town alot and June is crazy busy, but if Im around I would enjoy stopping by.

We can make it on the 14th. I was talking to George Disney at the Tradex swap and he was wondering if there was going to be a picnic. If anyone has his email or phone number please let him know. He doesn't come to this site very often.

Hy Guys, Bruce has asked what time I want you here, that is a personal choice for all of you, we usually have lunch together. I know it's a bit of a hike out to my place, but I don't expect anyone to launch themselves out of bed early on a Sunday morning to be here for noon. The BBQ will be available whenever you arrive. In the past some people have brought food items to share, and I appreciate that very much we will be providing coffee, the bbq. and possibly the odd hotdog. I'm looking forward to us all getting together again, sorry Dave can't make it!

Hi Bobb, I'll do my best to make it along with Nadine, I'm not sure what she has on her calendar for that day. I'll bring potato salad and a couple burgers. Hopefully there will be parking for a F*** at your place. My 450 is far from being roadworthy.

Also, I picked up a few free parts from a guy clearing out his garage. I will try to remember to bring them, just a few small items, but someone might be able to use them.

Must admit it sounds like a great time and I am very envious. Perhaps if all of you BC bolters were to chip in then I could afford the $120 round trip ferry fare. Of course I am only joking but hope you all have a great time and pictures too!

Sedgewick, were you at the lunch that we had years ago on the island? I think it was near a small airport.

I was. Rained like crazy and we parked at the aviation museum. It was the 17th of March 2007! Gee time flies!
That "small" airport is Victoria International Airport. But it is small!

Hy Guys, thanks so much to all that came out to my Pick a Nick today, good food, great company, and purdy trucks. I think that is a record for trucks. There were a couple of no shows, and I hope that they are okay wherever they are. Thanks again everybody!

Bobb, I forgot to ask you about that tractor in your back building, the one with the Cannonball truck. Do you know what model Cockshutt that is and does it run?
You might like this clip:

Saw this on the youtube site about the show Cannonball.
Cannonball was shot in Toronto. The truck was donated by gm.The trailer was donated from fruehauff Canada. There was just a cab donated too for studio inside shots. There home terminal was Kingsway transport co on north queen at Queensway in etobicoke Toronto ont.I worked there. William Campbell had a hard time backing in the docks. Some location shots were pickin chicken restaurant on lakeshore at parklawn and Christi bread company at parklawn blvd. The truck was one of torontos first rentals and was sold at the end of the show to stone cartage marigold ave Toronto.

Hi there 3B. I live in Langley and have 2 old fire trucks. I was wondering if you would mind sending me your phone number, so I can talk to you about them and finding parts for them? Thanks, Ron.

Hy Britcon, now enhance your calm Bruce. I wish I had a bigger area inside the house to do a Christmas thing, and I doubt you guys would want to hang out in the shop and have a meal there, then there's the winter road situation and me being way over in the corner stuck up against the mountains.
