I would like to keep my stock column.I saw an "how to" on cutting it and putting a bearing on the bottom of the column to install the joints and D bar to the box but now I cant find it.Need to see it so I can order the parts and cut the column the right size.

Thanks,Pete

Pete, this is one of two I kept that might help you. If I can find the other one I'll send it to you later. Hope this helps.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I am in the process of the same mod (thanks to help from Alvin!), and would suggest that you wait until you have completely installed the engine/transmission (especially the exhaust manifold), and the cab before you cut the original column to the final length. I want to leave as much of the original mast as I can while not interfering with anything on the engine. I cut my mast off close to the original cast piece which bolts to the old steering box for preliminary mockup purposes.

Thanks,Alvin. I've got the engine and trans sitting in there now and I'm doing the mockup, waiting for the headers to come in before I cut the mast. What engine are You installing Carl?

Just looked at Rams horn exhaust. I think they will look good on the build.
