I have a 1951 3100 5 window which I bought last year in Iowa. Not 100% sure of its history, but fairly certain it was always a Midwest truck and possibly a southern truck. Brought the truck with me when I moved back to NY. The goal is to restore it and keep it looking as original as possible. Nice looking truck. I also like to keep my trucks close to original-appearance/equipment. Here is a Specification Manual for your 1951 Chevrolet Truck. From the Vin my truck is from St. Louis, MO but it doesn't have the original engine in it. The paperwork I got when I bought it says it has a 261 from a 1955 1 1/2 ton grain truck.
