I bought this unfinished project about a year ago and its mostly done and back together!!!!!Still lots of things to hook up, but its all downhill from here. Its titled as a 1940 Chevy PU, but sports a 2001 Ford Ranger modified chassis, mild SBC/turbo 350AT, 4.10 limited slip rear end, and the 1940 Chevy TD cab. I finally sprayed it last week, and will be taking the summer off. Can anyone offer some examples of VINTAGE SIGNS for the doors? I'm using magnetic so I can easily remove them, going with our old family business- Penick Motor Company, Hurricane WV- a real CHEVY Dealer from 1928-60

PS: One picture shows the new VIN plate and want to thank everyone here for helping me locate some clutch head screws- they are holding it on just as I envisioned!

OK, I hope the pics will show up at Photobucket using this link: http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb470/burrpenick/1940%20Chevy%20Truck/IMG_5631.3_zps29mpiz7b.jpg

Nice work. That's going to be a sweet ride. Thanks for sharing.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
