I've put the window in and can not get the trim strip to go in. Does the trim need to be inserted into the rubber before the window is installed in the cab?

Practice makes perfect. You may need some extra hands. I watched a glass man do it solo. I am not a glass man. Carl

| | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 | Be careful removing your glass again...and to add to what the others have already mentioned,make sure the trims are fully seated in the rubber before you attempt the install,I usually use a little mild dishsoap solution or glass cleaner in a spray bottle to make sure the chromes seat fully in the rubber.. The little right angled lip MUST be fully seated.
Once you're happy with the fit,you'll know when they're right because when the glasses go in you'll be hard pressed to do anything other than perhaps bend the trims or worse still crack the glass.
It won't hurt to apply some masking tape over the chromes to hold them in situ as you string the windows in. Like Carl mentions an extra pair of hands will be useful too to follow you round on the outside while you string just to make sure.
