For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 144 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2010 Posts: 144 | I need to replace the top cowl vent drain hose since mine is cracked and split. Is there a trick to replacing one like some type of lubricant that won't affect the rubber hose? I tried reversing the "old" hose and try the "unbroken end but it is like trying to get a noodle up a wild cat's rear. Ugh! Logic says to have someone push from engine compartment while someone guide from under the dash. Any help is appreciated.

Also I attach a detachable extension hose that goes down to below the block on the driver's side. That way, water exits below the block. You can easily remove the extension hose at a show. A tapered nylon/plastic hose connector is available at any hardware store.
