Hey guys. Im almost done with my truck for this season. Only thing left is the adjusting the engines idle.

I've got a Rochester B carb. I screwed out the idle screw before because my choke didnt function properly. Now it does, but when i screw the idle screw all the way in she still runs (barely), then i screwed it out about one round, and she ran a bit better (still quite high rpm as far as i could hear). Then i pushed the accelerator, and released it. Sounded like small backfires after releasing. So i opened the idle screw a bit more, now it doesn't say BANG BANG anymore, but idle is quite high. Do i have to adjust something else?

I did the adjustments without choke and engine at 80 degrees Celcius.

I also tested with a vacuum gauge, but it jumps all over the place so i dont know what RPM i'm at.

So, i tried to adjust the idle, but I cant get it as low as i would like/feels good.. Which screw should I start with and how would i know its good..? I had quite i good low idle, without have the whole truck shaking, but then it died and was impossible to start. Now its a bit high again (my opinion), but atleast it wont die on me.
