I have a Trico "electro-vac" booster pump for my wiper motor mounted on the driver's side firewall in my '48 Chevy 1/2 ton. I would like to also mount a windshield washer unit. Both compete for the same location on the firewall. Can these two accessories run together? If so, recommendations on the mounting locations on the firewall for each accessory are welcomed. If these two units can not cohabitate, I will mount just the windshield washer and look to find a good home for the Trico "electro-vac" and its dash-mounted switch. Thanks.

Here is a picture of the correct windshield washer accessory on my '51 half ton.

Note the silver pump body connected by hose to the fluid jar. The location of that part is important as it is located on the firewall in such a place that you can pump it with your left foot while driving. That is the only part that needs to be accurately located.
Here is a picture of my '50 COE with the Trico vacuum pump.

Note that the oil filter on the firewall is there only because it is a COE and would not be there on a standard cab. Thus, the washer bottle could go there. I think there is enough room for both on the driver's side of the firewall,

Time will tell as to where the electro-vac is placed. I will update you all after I have installed the windshield washer unit and pump.

Luke,
That looks very good. I noticed the "hang tag" on the Trico pump. Very nice,
