Hello, my name is Larry, This is the story of how the green bay packers party wagon got a new (cooler) lease on life! I found this 51 Chevy panel truck and had to have it so I traded my Harley for it, that's right I said it. So know I'm the proud owner of the green bay party wagon. this is what I'm starting with. I've been creepin around the site for a few and thought I'd say hi.

Welcome to the Bolt! Looks like your panel is in nice shape. Keep us posted. There are some other panel truck guys here too. You should be hearing from them shortly.

I love the Ohio plate. Love the truck too. What are your plans? Hopefully it will stay some kind of green?

Well, so far I have ditched the big wheels n tires for centerline look-a-like keystons with smaller tires. that alone droped it 2.5", added a greenfield visor, a few other small odds n ends, and my next big plan is to send my front axle to sid. after that flat black. sorry, buy buy green. Thats what I'm trying to get done by summer, then drive and enjoy.

thanks rich, love the loadmaster. I had a 57 1 ton cattle truck a few years back but I always wanted a short bed so me and a friend took 44" out of the wheelbase and 5' off the overall length. then I got a bed.... but it was a long bed so I took a bit out of the center of it and put it back together. I have pics around here somewere.

well, It was a nice dry day in Ohio. I went out to clean the garage up a bit. I decided to put the panel on the battery charger for a few and fired it up. My friend stopped over and spotted me. With the smaller wheels and tires it just made it out under the garage door. So, I ran up to the store, and over a friends house. it was fun. Can't wait tell spring. The garage status, still messy. some new pics at the park. just hit the link in the top post.

Okay, we've got Larry's panel in there for March. Check his signature line. Now he's just waiting for some warmer weather. Looks like it won't be anytime soon, Larry ... so sorry! We be freezing down here in SOUTHERN Maryland, too!

Well, I would say that this rig needs to be changed from the green and gold of the Packers to the brown, orange and and white of the Cleveland Browns. However, there should be no hurry to put a Cleveland Browns trophy case in the suburban for now.... (oUCH!)

Have fun with it. Raising the roof on the garage might be a good start! In case you want to put 17" rims and tires on it. Good story!

well it's going to warm up a bit by the end of the week, maybe I'll get a chance to work on the panel a bit. It would be great if I could get my new tail lights all mounted up.

well the 51 isn't green any more.

no smoke rolling out the windows so not the grateful dead, no big tires so not the grave digger. just a vision I had coming together.

almost got hit in my 51 the other day. some dude in a newer truck blew threw the stop sign. good thing I saw him and spiked the brakes and cut the wheels. then he did the same and ended up in the middle on my lane. we were just about window to window.... I had a few works of wisdom and some driving tips for him but I don't think I made a new friend. Oh well....

Well it looks like the summer fun is just about over up here in the northeast. I decided to clean out the garage and put the 51 away for the fall/winter. I had a blast with it this year but now it's time to start planning the attack. Muah ha ha...

wow, that was close.... had some friends coming over to look at the 51.... I wasn't looking to sell but with bills and all I thought for a few and.... I was in the garage letting the air out of the rear tires to get her out of the garage and I started thinking, Nobody will love her as much as me and suddenly the cash didn't even matter anymore, I will always make money but won't always have a 51.... I just gotta slow it down for a few and enjoy this for a little bit longer! come on summer !!!!

Good thinking lardog63. Once you sell it you can't tell folks you own one anymore...only that you HAD one. You will not regret it. I love my old trucks more and more...as new trucks get higher and higher!

well, my starter died.... only 64 years old. I guess the warranty must be up. I took it to buckeye auto electric and had it rebuild....and wow what a difference. put about 50 miles on her today.... and loving it.

well, over the last week or so I put about 150 miles on the ol girl, but today she started making a noise like a bearing or u joint kind of noise coming apart.... like a thumping right under the pass side floor board? I stopped 3 times and saw nothing. Trans, drive shaft... I don't know.

almost time to put her back into the garage for winter.
