Bone stock straight six three speed on the column. Ton-o-fun that one was. That truck is long gone.
In October of last year we bought a '59 GMC Fleet Option. It's something of an odd bird (some say rare). We want to keep it original. It seems to have the original 270 engine with the 4 speed on the floor. I think it's a long bed. It currently has a flat bed a PO put on it. In time we will put the step side back on it. It had an engine rebuild (so we were told) within the last two years and it starts right up and runs great. Though at highway speeds it feels somewhat strained. I only keep at 55mph.
Anyway... as you might tell we are new to working on these so it's good to be here and looking forward to fixing this truck up.

Sounds like you have a nice running pickup. Lots of knowledge and great folks here that are willing to help with any problems you have. Just be sure to ask questions in the most appropriate forum for maximum results.
..... lots of Bolters in Ca. Watch for them. I'll bet there is one in your town....maybe even just down the street. After you learn your way around a little bit be sure to post up a picture or two. Check out the gallery and the links and tech tips. Just a lot of good stuff here. | | | | Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 6 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 6 | Thanks! I've been looking around. I would love to post some pics but the links don't look like they will work. I'll try anyhow. Could it be because HTML and UBBCode are disabled? '64 Chevy '59 GMC
