Behind the back of the seat, there was a small, curved sheet metal panel on each corner of the cab. The presence of screw holes indicate that there should be a longer, rectangular panel across the back, behind the seat. Is that correct? Where could I get one?

It is hard to take a picture of a panel that you never had, but -I found a photo on Sheridan's site that shows what appears to be the missing panel. There are two panels one each side that fit from the door latch side to the inner rib on the bottom. Passenger side is slotted to allow for gas tank filler. They could easily be made if you can't locate. I have two that I could take a picture of or could make you a pattern if needed. Hope this helps. Have fun and good luck

He did have the upper panel loosened and sitting on the floor. Explains the oval hole. I guess maybe the only reason that there are screw holes down the length of the center support is because they made them all them same - reduced inventory. The hole patterns are the same. So thanks, I can move forward. I do have the two corner panels - just have to put the curve back in (thank you, powder coater).
