Someone putting in a late model rear-end may have one on hand. A little expensive but we have a 4x4 shop in Greenville, S.C. that can cut you a new axle.
Lot of years will work in your housing if my 52 is the same as a 48....I THINK up to '62, ('ve used a 59 in my 52 so I know that works)
....and you could put a shim behind the seal so that the seal lip is not riding in the same place on the axle and may be alright......I'm sure someone will come along with better answers but this should get you started. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,254 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,254 | Thanks Alvin. Sounds like your problem is more then a seal surface. The roller brg rides on the axle & can score the surface.

Had to do one on my '46 1/2 ton. Part number is 111121 - fits 40-57 1/2 ton. Axles are made of unobtainium in my experience. Might want to check in with Pre '68 Dave - he helped me out with a race.
