I hope it is Ok starting a new topic here like this, if not, Alvin, please delete. (Edit: I am not trying to drum up for this event, I don't have anything to do with it, just asking if anyone has gone. Again, if not appropriate, Alvin, please bring the topic down.)

My question is about an event called Steel in Motion held this year in Union, SC. I wanted to check to see if any Stovebolters have been to this event in the past and what your thoughts were.

It sounds like to me it is more like the "Heavy Rebel" thing they do in Winston-Salem every July 4th, which I have been to a couple of times. Not exactly my style, but many of the vehicles brought in to that show I appreciate looking at.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Not familiar, yet, with just what this is going to be. I went to a show, where they basically shut down the town, or block it off, and we had a good time, This was a few years ago but I generally hear good comments from it....unless this is something new..or a new name.

The car club I belong to here in Spartanburg, is having our club meeting tomorrow night. I'm sure some of the guys there will know more about it and I'll post back later.
R-Bo, no harm, this is what Southern Bolting is about....

..and for other southern bolters, I am contemplating having a GabFest here at my house again sometime in the Spring but no promises yet. I'm still mending smile Anyone interested?

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I went last year for the first time. It seemed to be a great turn out. The focus is traditional Hotrods. Very HAMB friendly, The hosted drag racing for everyone to enter. The had a band every night as well as a Pin-up completion. I plan to go again this year....
