Perhaps this is an easy one; Does the door on my truck´s box should have the chevrolet lettering stamped? Or should it be plain?

In case it should have the lettering; are the letters painted body color or moulding color?

Thanks for the help.

Greetings.

Lucas.

Lucas - I think you are refering to the tailgate of the bed, right. Originally the 41-46 tailgates were plain no lettering at all. The 39s had the chevrolet script lettering and the 47 ADs had the embossed block lettering.

Hope this helps
George

Unless of course it was a GMC, which would have had script and it would have been painted white or black depending upon the base color. grin

I was thinking in spanish when I wrote box door (its tapa(or puerta meaning tailgate) de caja (box))!!!

Thanks for your help. Look like I´m not buying that "chevrolet" tailgate!!!

Tailgates were plain on 37's to but if you order a replacement they are offered with the lettering stamped in it in case you want it..just info.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
