Hi, I have a 1946 2 ton and I'm trying to remove the tank. I took the 4 straps/bars off but the tank doesn't budge. What am I missing? Thanks!

2 ton trucks were available with tanks under the seat or outside the right frame rail. Which do you have?

The underseat tank is held in place by 2 straps and four bars. There is nothing else that prevent its removal other than the plumbing and electrical connections.

It's under the seat. I removed the 4 bars. How do you remove the straps? It's hat to see because the crevices are caked with rotten soy beans. Am I looks for screws or bolts? And are they in the cab or beneath the truck? Thanks.

The nuts attaching the straps are accessible on the underside of the cab.

Each strap has a nut on each end, so four nuts. The straps are flexible so only one of the nuts on each strap need be removed to remove the tank.
