While adding brake lights, I discovered the brake light switch on the end of the brake cylinder wasnt working when brake peddle depressed.The feed wire shows 6 volts the other side 2. if I manually connect the two wires the brake lights work.
I also tried a brand new pressure switch. This didnt work either
Is there something else I should be checking

If not something is plugged up. If some comes out you have a defective new switch

My experience with pressure switches is that even low pressure switches 'go bad' because you have to start pressing the pedal harder and harder to get them to activate. I converted my '38 to a newer lever switch and am MUCH happier.
