Pull the valve cover and "tap" the valves to see if they are stuck, or better yet, pull the rocker assembly and push rods so you don't bend them. Check the lifters to see if they are stuck to.
Then pull the flywheel inspection cover and with a pry bar see if you can get the flywheel to turn. It will take time so be patient.

Kroil is the best in my opinion. Other options are diesel fuel, automatic transmission fluid, marvel mistery oil, kerosene, or liquid wrench, WD-40, etc. You can mix these too, such as 50/50 MMO/kero Diesel/atf. Let the substance sit a week then try to turn it over with the starter or you can use a flat screwdriver on the teeth of the flywheel, being careful not to damage teeth. If that doesn't work let it sit for longer. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,747 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,747 | Pour the cylinders full of lightweight oil such as any of the ones mentioned above, take the rocker arms off the valves, and after waiting about a week or more, use the chisel-shaped end of a shepherd's crook wrecking bar in the flywheel teeth at the bottom of the bellhousing and work the flywheel back and forth a little at a time. Don't do any more towing- - - -the connecting rods are sort of flimsy, and they can bend or break if the pistons refuse to move. Patience!
