I just got my first stovebolt less than a year ago and just recently started driving it. Well today I met a guy with a 50 3/4 ton chevy and I asked him in all seriousness if it was for sale.It looks like it may be a possibility. So what is wrong with me? A year ago I wasn't looking for even one old truck and here I am trying to by a second one already. Is this some kind of malady? Is the condition permanent?---Jack

Everyone needs at least 2. One to drive and one to show. You don't have a 'condition' until you buy that third one. There are some 'truck hogs' on this site. If they have more than two under their name, block them. They are a bad influence.

It will get you EVERY TIME. I started out with one, now own 6 of them. So much potential, so little time! and next I purchased a Ford 9N tractor them another 235 Chevy engine. Who knows what pops up next?

Yes, its a disease....well, OK, its an addiction. But a good one. Builds self esteem, sense of pride, get waves from chic's, and gives you a reason to throw wrenches and tire tools. Good gosh, I love it smile I haven't "totally" finished any of mine and I'm already looking for the nest one. Did some one say this is a disease?
They will even break down on you in the middle of no-where. Ask Cletis....or me!

Hy Achipmunk and guys, I have no idea what you guys are talking about... do I Alvin? If this is a disease I am proud to be a carrier, so don't come close unless you also want this affliction also.

Bobb, your sure a fine one to talk. A man with BARNS full of trucks, stacked on top of one another, certainly knows what a disease this hobby can be. Heck, you even had a car "up in the rafters". Bobb, you got it bad smile

Well at least yours are all different from one another. No need for that intervention yet.

Its not a disease. I can stop anytime I want. I only have three old trucks and when they are finished....im done with old trucks, unless I find another good deal.
