I washed my engine block today and after letting the truck dry for 5 hours in the texas sun, I went to turn it over and the starter is not turning.

I think its obvious I shorted it out. What do I do at this point?

Have you checked to see if the battery is charged? If it is fully charged I would check to make sure you have a good/clean/tight ground connection (battery to frame). Then I would check the positive connection to the starter. Still nothing I would pull the solenoid off and check and clean it.
Thats where I would start.

The water may have made a corroded cable connection worse. Clean the connections and test. If that doesn't work, I would pull the starter and roll it around to see if water runs out of it. I would then attach power to it on the bench and see if it works.

Considering that this truck is my daily driver, yes the battery was fully charged as of yesterday evening. The interior electronics are functioning.

I replaced the entire electrical system back in January, the cables are all brand new.

Just went and checked it again, when I push the button on the Solenoid I can hear it sparking inside the starter but it does not turn, just sparks.
