Since lifting the body off the frame I have found some of the original blocks are very punky and some toast. Were these blocks originally oak? Does anyone replace them with wood nowadays or do they go to some other modern material?

I replaced my 37 with wood from Jim Carters. Save the bolts and springs. These are hard to get. Joe
