Jul 21st, 2025 | | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 74 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 74 | 1951 half ton chevy, vacumn wiper unit or motor under the dash seems to be missing a shaft or attachment that goes to the chrome switch on the dash .Does it have a part name so i will know what i am looking for and there seems to be rubber bushings that fell apart just by touching them on the arm of the motor and switch. Thanks for any feedback on this!! I made one from the wire hook of an old trouble light but a piece of coat hanger would do as well. Look at the picture of the part and make the appropriate bends with a pair of pliers. You can measure the distance between the control knob and where it connects on the wiper. It's around 2 1/2 or 3 inches.
