When going to power steering on most AD's folks are sitting the box outside the chassis toward the front. Then you need a pitman arm off say a Malibu/monte carlo/buick and several other GM vehicles in order to get the 5 or 5 1/2" length you will need. It would seem they are all the same but I'm sure somewhere they are some that is different? I used a box off a 1976 truck and a pitman arm off a 69 Buick that was laying in the shop for my 52Panel.

They use to sell one that worked off the tie rod and kept the stock box in place with a power cylinder that worked on the tie rod.

most cases. However, if yo mama or girlfriend is gonna drive
the truck power steering is gonna make it much more palatable
to her. Also some of the guys have disabilities, which prevent
them from muscling the steering around when they're not
cruising down the highway. They would also benefit from
a power steering conversion.
