It seems like we are a few short of a " Spring Calendar " in regards to trucks, King DB has serious issues on the on the home front (first and foremost, getting a roof on the home!!!), and what's a trip to the Backbone and not being able to see John and Peg drink from a growler??!!
Not saying you guys or whoever still is game, can't get together but I think I am going to bail out too.
Now, I have a 4ft by 6ft by 7 ft tall fireplace to remove in my living room that I could use some help with this weekend and I have a case of 8 point in the frig if its beer you are looking for!!!
Thoughts, opinions, comments?

That is mighty kind of you brother. I am not sure it will even happen this weekend as I have a few others things going on that might interfere so you are off the hook.
I spoke to Sweet yesterday and (Mr. Sweet, I hope you don't mind me speaking for you) I believe he now has something that conflicts with Saturday as well. There are some changes in management at the DB too that have made planning the event difficult. If it wasn't already pretty clear that this weekend was in doubt, I am officially cancelling it. As I said before, we can work towards the fall gathering at the Devils Backbone and between now and then, Chris can work on establishing communication with the new manager. Bummer, I was looking forward to a good meal or meals and an ice cold beverage or beverages! and spending time with all ya'll.

With regret, the information Billy stated is correct. In the last few weeks I have been trying to set up another smashing event. My original contact is no longer working there. I've spoken to several others but I think too many and have not gotten things settled.
Further my oldest son has been invited to play in a soccer tournament this weekend and rumor has it his old man may be needed on the pitch.
I will continue to work with the DB staff and set something up in the future.
Sorry to disappoint, let's hope we can make this work next time!!!

The reason we can't make it is that I've been asked to be the moderator for a panel discussion at the Naval Air Museum at Patuxent River on Saturday Afternoon for a Meet The Aircraft event for the CH-53A Sea Stallion on display It's going to be be a cool event -- the other panel members include two CH-53 program managers (and test pilots) and the crew chief who tackled Scott O'Grady and threw his dumb Air Force butt on the rescue '53. All are friends and the event should be fun.
