I drove my 50 cabover today for the first time and found out that it needs cab mounts, while driving the cab was jumping from the frame. where do I buy new ones? are the truck mounts different from cabovers? thank you Dan

The mounts are not reproduced and they are different from the standard cab I believe? I will repost tonight with more information after I have had a chance to review.

Looking through the FAM (see attached) there is one unique part for the 5000 Series trucks. This is #3703694 the mount bracket to the sub frame. All of the other parts are interchangeable with all models.

This shows a typical 3000-4000-6000 bracket (3100 has a special off-set bracket on the frame side, other is the common #3690029) everything else here will work including shims and anchor nut plate. It would appear the sub frame bracket is a sheet stamped assembly to fit into the unique COE cross frame member. As such it may be fairly easy to fabricate a suitable replacement and then use the parts from the standard cab for the rest.

Spanky, when I get into this and if I need one I will let you know! Thank you! I am working on the 39 COE now and will see if that one runs, Its sure fun to get in the 50 COE and drive it around, I never drove a truck that high up in the sky! I know you have driven these COE's and now I know the feeling,everybody should drive one of these old COE trucks once in there life time! lol Great fun for all! Dan
