Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 98 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 98 | I'm replacing the mastercylinder on a '52 3100 and keepin it original as it really has great brakes etc. The problem is that the original fitting on the end of the master cylinder has stripped threads and I am in need of an original stlye replacement, I have checked LMC without luck. Any suggestions where I can get an authentic piece? Thanks, oj

Anybody else? For those interested, these master cylinders were used to lateish mid-50's. The fitting on the master cylinder accepts a banjo bolt, it is not doubleflare - this is how you get it out of the box. My original fitting replaced the provided fitting but it stripped when tightening the front brake line. I can use the provided fitting but I need the parts to make it work. It would be a banjo bolt with a distribution block for the front and rear brake lines.

I would imagine they could either tap it or come up with an adapter. It may not be original, but in the 50's and 60's I am sure there were some unique repairs as well.
