I have a 1965 C60 with a 292 in it. The exhaust manifold is broken and cracked and needs replaced. I'm in the process of trying to find a replacement. I have found some in various places but my problem is this....The manifold that is currently in the truck is the type where the outlet is near the rear, close to the firewall. All my sources point to the correct manifold being the one where the outlet is directly under the carb in the center of the manifold. The issue seems to be that the motor mount may not clear the center outlet manifold but it could just be the way I'm looking at it. It is swept back on the center outlet of the replacement manifold. Will this clear the motor mount? The mounts have not been modified in any way. Main reason I am asking this is also because there is a big price difference in the cost of the two manifolds and I want to make sure I order the right one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The ones I have worked on all have the outlet in the center. The light duty 1/2 to 1 tons have a 2 in. outlet that points rearward. The larger trucks, 50 series up have a 2 1/2 in. outlet straight down. If yours is towards the rear you will need to find one like it to match the exhaust pipe or change the exhaust pipe to match the center dump.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
