First let me say THANK YOU and kudos to the site ops. The amount of hands-on, personal oversight not only keeps the site quality high, it shows your true love for these trucks.

I bought my '57 35 years ago and the '46 about ten years later. After being distracted by motorcycles for the last 20 years I am now rekindling my obsession with Chevy trucks.

I pulled the 327/350 from the '46 last weekend and now its time to decide for a complete frame off/IFS, or just make it a runner and concentrate on the '57 (such problems).

I have started an online gallery. Not much there yet, but I will try to keep it updated, and also put some field/farm trucks I come across. The farm fresh '46?? 4000series?? in the gallery I might just own soon, if not I will post it in the forums for the vultures to circle. Also know of a complete '41 GMC in the woods and will try to get piccies up soon.

USAbison, welcome to the stovebolt. Not sure what part of Ca. your in but there are lots of bolters in your fair state.

Congrats on keeping the trucks instead of letting them go. You will not regret it!

Post questions in the most appropriate forums for best results. Lots of knowledge and great folks.

Take your time on deciding what to do. Do it once...do it right. We're here to help.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
