Posted in the welcome forum but since I am down south I thought I would say howdy here too. I am in North GA and currently working on a 46 Chevy truck, picked up a 56 235 yesterday to do a transplant. Ahh the fun begins.

Welcome to the Stovebolt, oldironcollector. Seeing as you are "north" Ga. that means your close to Spartanburg right?? Glad to have you as a Southern Bolter.

Are you junking out the engine? I need a Carter W-1 carburector from a 46-48. I'd send you a PM but you have to make 4 post before being able to do PM's.

Say, we have a Stovebolt gathering coming up May 10th in West Columbia just off I-26. Think you could make it? ....... Alvin

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Thanks for the Welcome, I am in Blue Ridge GA which is where TN and NC state lines meet GA. I will have the carb off the 216 when I get the swap done, and certainly I will give you dibs on it. I know its in good shape the truck runs well and it appears to have a fairly recent rebuild on the carb. I will look at my schedule and check on the date of the gathering, I would love to attend.

Welcome! Im just down the road from you a "few" miles. In marietta moving to Canton next month. I use to frequent blue ridge back when Tellico (Murphy, NC) was still open for off roading.

Ahh yes we used to see a lot of traffic through here from folks headed to Tellico. I grew up in the Canton/Woodstock area, it's nice but it got a little too big for us and we had to move out in the sticks!
