Old trucks are not required but beer goggles are. The first unofficial meet was last May when myself, Sweet, and Cosmo met up for lunch and cold ones and tall tales. It was at that time we realized the great place we had stumbled upon. Thinking this will be great date since it is between Homecoming and Macungie, and also before the heavy heat of summer sets in. This is two time a year event as far as I'm concerned, once in the spring and then once in the fall.

Wow, I'd be ready for a trip and a brew. With spring, Easter (egg hunt) and Homecoming all later this year (but DST early), things are lining up nicely.

I asked Chris, my contact at DB to give me the scoop on how the grilling for a group works. Here is his response:
Saturday 31st of May will definitely work.
Grill out: we could arrange for an outdoor setup where we charger per person based on what your group wanted (example: bratwurst, slaw, beans, corn, etc).
Or, could do something real simple where whoever wanted something paid for it (Bratwurst, chips, etc)
Beer could be set up as well. Would have to separate that as a pay-for-what-you-ordered theme based on ABC (can’t incorporate it into a “per person” fee).

Remember one of our early "campouts" (VA) when we all just slept in the back of our trucks. We were so young and foolish ... no, we were just young and agile back then. They do have fires there on site. Part of why they purchased the land they did.
However, I'm sure it won't be a fire of the magnitude of Homecoming!!!

It is about 30 west of Charolettsville Va. I'm not sure where in Louisa County you live but the closest convoy gathering spot will likely be the Chevy dealership off Rt 15 in Orange Va.
