| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 107 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 107 | I know I've seen on occasion a discount offered for those of us on the bolt. I took a quick look and didn't see any so I thought I would ask. Going to break down and buy a vintage air set up and for what they cost! every little bit of saving would help. Thanks.

I don't know how their order forms work. We had a code for Jim Carter but I think so many people were using it (but not from Stovebolt) that it's kinda washed out.
Give them a call first. Ask about the Stovebolt discount and what you need to do if you place your order on-line.

There is also simply an "American Truck Parts".
Peggy, its been quite a while since I ordered from Classic Parts of America and at that time they had quite giving discount due to the same reason JCarter did.
However, maybe they still do it now. I do not know. I would at least ask them. Perhaps a phone call is in order and then all new members who donate to the Bolt should have to take a pledge not to divulge the password to non-donating members?? 10% on big orders or over the "ong haul" can be quite a bit of money and like Joshm, I'm close to needing an A/C set up. That would be close to a couple hundred bucks!

This is American Classic Truck Parts, who had been helping us for 10 years stay on-line (they paid our hosting fee all those years). They give the 10% discount for Stovebolters. On the Parts page our Links section, it shows ACTP giving 10% (which is still good), Classic Parts (formerly Chevy Duty) was giving 5% off (see the link to use the discount) -- that is dated 2008. Jim Carter was giving 10%, too for "contributors to Stovebolt" but that turned out to be too hard to oversee -- which was a good thing for them because a lot of orders came in using the Stovebolt Secret Code ... only it wasn't a secret anymore! That's why I suggested you just call them and see what they can do. The one I know absolutely for sure is ACTP. I have to catch up with Jim Carter sometime before summer. He is very supportive of our site and has been trying to get us to collaborate on something. We just haven't had the time ... until this year. From talking to some of these vendors, they are really WANTING your business. Like Alvin said, if you've got a big order, call them and see just how much they want your business.Happy shopping!! Peg
