If it's 5/16, I just wasted $4.

I bought some used springs due to the fact I had a broken main on one side. After I've ordered bushings, shackle rebuild kit and now, another set of center bolts.
I'm wondering why I just didn't buy new springs. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 | As it turns out they were the right ones. The U-bolts I ordered are about 3/4" longer. I'm pretty sure they'll work and have enough threads.
I used Denny Graham's method of spring bushing removal. It worked great, except for the last one. It turned out to be a multi-tool event.
Body say, die grinder, hammers, punches, screwdrivers, bench vise, electrical tape, and curse words.
