For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 364 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 364 | I'm having difficulty understanding/finding a below-dash mounted "gauge light switch" for my '42 1/2T. Was this a dimmer switch or a courtesy light or both? Was it a toggle switch or a rheostat? Where exactly did it mount on the dash? Where do you find them/ Any assistance/help would be appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | Theres a few places that make new switches, very unlike the old ones. The switch has 2 settings, power goes into the middle and flip it either way for your dome light or instrument lights, but not both at once.

I'd seen an NOS switch go on ebay and it had a black plastic cylindrical switch. Thanks again. | | |
