It arcked (spelling) and sparked. Now the truck wont start. It turns over but thats it. I checked all fuses and all ore OK. Is it safe to assume I blew the coil or fuel pump? Please help this poor new guy. It's most likely you just shorted the "batt" terminal to ground. That shouldn't have damaged any components. Did you get all the wires back on the switch properly?
Check for voltage at the coil. If there is none, check wires and ballast resister back to the switch. If there is voltage, check the coil by holding the coil wire close to ground and opening the points with a screwdriver. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 31 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 31 | Duh!
