I have never paid over 500 for and old bolt except for a 67 9500 GMC.
15 years ago, there were a couple that I bought at auctions for under 100. Then got what parts I needed and gave them away.
No titles of course.
And there are more stories.
Since you are in Kansas, you should try to join us at KC in September. you will meet some great people and have a good time.

-Make sure the engine turns.
-Fuel system
-Brake system
-Pour coolant in and see if any comes out due to cracks in the block
-wiring harness
-Change fluids
-......
The list is long, but if you make a detailed list and start crossing things off, it will be road worthy in very little time!
Nice find and a very good price. The truck has not ran since 87 from what the seller told me. The only problem I have so far is with the brakes! The pedal is frozen in the up position. So don't know what is could be. You might be better off replacing it,than re-sleeving the old one. If the M.C. is that bad,I'd replace the hydrovac,as well. Don't forget to replace the rubber brake lines. They deteriorate from the inside,restricting flow/pressure. Steel lines rust from the inside,too. Wheel cylinders are available through N.A.P.A.,as well as other F.L.A.P.S. With the money you saved on the payment,you can buy a complete new brake system,and still be in the $1500.00 price range! Not bad!! | | |
