If this burban could talk i wonder who would have been a passenger in it. pic of my burban | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,185 Moderator | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,185 | That is such a cool burb. I wish it were mine. The Bavarian was one of the first ski hills in the Aspen area. I believe it is now owned by the Crown family in Chicago - but don't quote me. You could probably sell it to them for a small fortune if they had interest. The Bavarian Highland Lodge was originally formed in 1936 so the dates line up. BTW, the Crown family (if they now own what used to be the Bavarian Lodge) are worth about 7 billion. | | | | Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 |

In the article they alluded to being related to one of the principles of the operation. It's worth a shot at least. | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 237 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 237 | | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 237 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 237 | | | | | Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 | Very nice. The snow tire pic shows later 4 slot wheels with snow tires out back, and the rather rare-ish 8 slot original 37-38 wheels up front. Great shots.
