It is better to have a functioning heat riser. It increases the fuel delivery efficency which inturn improves mpg & power.
Will the engine work without it? Sure but not as efficently...
re. engineers and failed past auto products. I wouldn't blame the engineers, (I'm not one btw, but I've had to reengineer my share for eqt), the blame falls squarely on the MBA's running the companys that have no idea what they're producing.....
I've seen them ruin good companys countless times by cheapening the products...
