I don't know how much it would cost to machine the thrust journals in the block, but I do know crower cams (the crankshaft division) drilled my 216 crank for full pressure oiling for $180, the shipping however was just almost as much. So if you use a splash oiler crank, you won't have to get new rods, or do the machine work on the thrust journals. It is all up to you, there are several ways to go about this. You can make a full flow oil filter, full pressure oiling, or both. Once you decide how you want to proceed, then we can give you proper direction. As there are a few things that will hang you up with each of the paths you may follow.
