Why not find out what is wrong with the 235 first?
The 230 is not a direct bolt up, more in common with chevy V8 as far as mounting than a 235.
Lets us know what issues the ol' 6 has, I've seen more than one that was "shot" only to need a few simple repairs, might be your lucky day!
